Psychologically-oriented Therapies

1. Movement Therapy

In group movement therapy, an interpersonal encounter of several people with each other is promoted under communicative aspects. It serves to:

  • Creation of group familiarity
  • Improving communication skills
  • Promoting interaction
  • Creation of well-being with increased activity
  • Promotion of self-confidence
  • Improvement of physiological body functions
  • Finding joy in movement

2. Relaxation Therapy

This group therapy is mainly used for depressive patients. Progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) aims at the causal elimination and prevention of tension. The patient is taught the ability to recognize and influence tension in the nervous and muscle system.

Upon discharge, the patient is given a home exercise programme.

After both forms of therapy, a moment of introspection is encouraged at the end of the hour. If a patient is not yet able to participate in a group, he/she will receive individual therapy. In this way, he/she receives personal support from the therapist and can be guided individually and specifically to group therapy.

3. Therapeutic Boxing

  • Reduction of internal tension
  • Reduce stress, anger and aggression
  • Release emotions, inhibitions and blockages
